Right after Thulo Syabru you cross a suspension bridge and begin walking on the trail that traverses through a very dense forest of Rhododendron and pine. Often people in Thulo Syabru will tell you stories of how villagers randomly spot leopards and musk deer. Keep your eyes open because you never know if you would be able to spot not only these animals but also elusive red pandas. Buckle up, as you will mostly walk uphill in himalayan terrain. The trail firstly leads to Forpand Danda and furthermore to Dursagang. The prior destination lies at 3200 meters and the later at 2660 meters, so there will be a lot of walking down to the foot of the hill before ascending to the top. The mountains become closer and clearer as you move closer to your destination of the day. Towards the end of the day today you will walk through the forest of Oak, Hemlock and Firs. However, the trail from here becomes more steeper and on rugged terrain. The landscape from beyond the pass becomes barren.
