This hill is now easily accessible because of the recent construction of cable car. Talking about the view from the top, it offers a grand view of the mountains. Nevertheless, the view is heavily dependent on the weather.
Moving on, Chandragiri Chitlang Trek makes its way to Chitlang from the hill top of Chandragiri. Chitlang is an ancient village that dates back to the Lichhavi dynasty. The dynasty that ruled Kathmandu valley from 1150 BCE to 750 BCE. People of Chitlang received this land as a gift from the then royal family. This very thing is mentioned in the The ancient scripture found in the village.

The village now is a melting pot of caste, creed and community but still dominated by the ancient Newars. However, despite being close to the capital of the country, Chitlang still is rustic.
