Annapurna Panorama trek is short and comparatively easy. Furthermore, this trek is for people of all age group with any fitness level. This trek remains on the foothills of Annapurna mountain. Having said that, Annapurna is beautiful for several reasons. For instance, lifestyle, culture, houses, attire, terrain and the list could go on. Talking about the terrain, you will mostly walk in lush green forests. These forests are part of Annapurna Conservation Area, commonly known as ACA. Furthermore, ACA is the home of some endangered species of Animals, birds and flowers.

Annapurna Panorama trek follows one of the three major trails in Annapurna region. To be more precise, it follows the trail that leads to Annapurna base camp. Unlike most of the treks in the Annapurna, this trek finishes only in a week. The week that you spend on the trail is one of the most beautiful experience you will ever have. On this day you arrive to Kathmandu and we transfer you to your accommodation. You rest and rejuvenate for days to come. You can as well explore the surrounding and get to know a little about the country and culture.

You will meet your trek leader on this day and he would brief you about trekking in Nepal and your chosen destination. Meanwhile, the back office staff will prepare all required permits for your trekking. later in the day, you will do the last minute shopping for your trekking along with your guide. While our back office staff get ready preparing permits from the government offices, our guides help you get acquainted with the country by taking you to the most happening market in Kathmandu.

On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and head towards tourist Bus Park at Thamel and board a tourist bus to Pokhara. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. The drive to Pokhara on one of the major highways is exhilarating with beautiful views of never leaving tributaries, lush green hills and roadside settlements.

The day starts early by taking a vehicle out of Pokhara. The drive takes around one and half hours to Nayapul and then the Annapurna Sanctuary trek officially starts on foot from here onwards. The first day of the trek we ascend somewhere around 500 + meters, all the way to Tikhedhunga. Most of the day’s walk is on the jeep track, and is a very easy and good first day walk.

We start climbing on the significant man made steps - around 3500 steps, all the way to Banthanti via ulleri. It is very beautiful to see the landscape change on this day, the barren ridge turns into sparse trees, which further turns into dense subtropical forest. We would as well traverse through dense forest of Rhododendron and pine. These forested land is a home of wild habitats like langoor monkeys, barking deer and different species of birds. Keep your eyes open for wild animals. Overnight in Ghorepani

On this day we make approximately 550 m ascent and 710m descent at around 4-5 hours of trek. But before initiating the day’s trek we take a short hike to Poon hill; a grassy knoll famous as viewpoint. We leave our teahouse at Ghorepani by 5:00 a.m. in the morning to witness sunrise over the mountains of Annapurna massif. On this day we have breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and immediately leave for Tadapani. We walk on the trail that is almost entirely in the middle of Rhododendron and oak forest and walk sheer uphill all the way to Deurali. The view of Annapurna gamut and the deepest gorge; Kaligandaki, from Deurali as well is unparalleled. Further downhill from Deurali and except for some treacherous descend the walk is smooth and crosses some streams with swimming prospect along with some beautiful water fall. Overnight in Tadapani

On this day we make only descends and about 720m in 3-4 hours of time span. The entire trail is inside the deep and dense forest of Rhododendron and oak through beautiful settlement Gurung community. In Ghandruk we do not accommodate in any teahouse but rather do a homestay and live in the homes of local and eat the way they do and explore their culture and even learn to make their cuisine if you are interested.

Ghandruk to Pokhara(820m/2,690ft) 4 – 5 hours hike , 1.5 hours drive

On this day we walk for 4-5 hours and downhill on easy and flat trails. We walk up to Kuimi and further to Syali Bazar, on and off on jeep track and old trail. Further down we take easy trail to Birethanti from where we checkout from ACAP and cross the rustic bridge and take a vehicle to Pokhara.

On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and get ready to head towards Kathmandu. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. Tracing the same way back we reach Kathmandu and we transfer you back at the hotel. Annapurna Panorama Trek officially comes to end on this very day. Important Notes

  • Please bring 2 passport size photographs for your trekking permit to the group meeting.

Essential Trip Information

  • The trip begins from Kathmandu
  • You need to arrive at least 2 days prior to your scheduled trek initiation date
  • You will begin your trip from day 2 of your arrival and only after signing necessary formalities
  • You need to bring along at least 2 passport sized pictures and hand it to the company on day 2.
  • In case of trek cancellation or trek forfeit due to unseen circumstances, we shall compensate with an alternate itinerary or activities.
  • You need to bring along at least 500 dollars additional in cash. The funds will help you in case of delayed flights or unseen circumstances
  • You need to aware of the company of any medical conditions developed recently
  • You need to be of age 15 and above to join this trip
