Mardi Himal Yoga Trek is a combination of Yoga and trek. Furthermore, a perfect spiritual trekking holiday designed for you. This is a brand new concept in the world of trekking and hiking. On top, this is a special trekking in the heart of Annapurna. This trek helps you practice of aligning your mental, physical and spiritual self. To add up, this trek is more about you connecting with yourself. According to the mythology, yoga originated in the Himalayas. And, we designed this trek to take you to the roots like how the practitioners did in the past. Mardi Himal yoga trek aims to give you a memorable mountain trek along with spiritual well being.

This is a recently developed trekking trail in Nepal. Hence, this makes Mardi Himal a less populous trek or off the beaten trek. Because of its nature of the trail, this destination is perfect for a yoga retreat. Furthermore, you would need a lot of positive energy for yoga and meditation. And the energy comes from the silence of the forest and the cool breeze from the mountains. On the other hand, Mardi Himal lies in the foothills of Annapurna. Annapurna is one of those regions in Nepal which is the first priority destination for many.

Mardi Himal Yoga Trek includes basic yoga postures that are easy to follow. You will practice yoga postures on an everyday basis and in the mornings and evenings. Also, a very experienced yoga guru will be a part of the trek.

You would begin Mardi Himal Yoga Trek from Kathmandu. The journey then makes its way to Pokhara city and finally, to the Annapurna region. The trek begins at 1300 meters and reaches an elevation of 4000 meters within a week. The final elevation is a beautiful vantage point to view snow-clad mountains. Imagine yourself practicing yoga postures in front of these snow-capped mountains. On top, imagine no walls to obstruct the magnificent views, no pollution and above all, no noise. Welcome to Nepal and thank you for choosing Mardi Himal Yoga trek ! On this day you will be transferred to your hotel/hostel and you will rest and stroll around the neighborhood to get acquainted with the country. Meal plan N/A.

On the very second day we will begin by doing yoga early in the morning. The yoga will start at 7:00 am by a certified Yoga guru. The guru along with your trekking guide will brief you about the trek. The guru will brief about the yoga and asanas you will do while you are on the trek and the trekking guide will talk to you about the trek entirely. After yoga you will have your breakfast and get rest if necessary. At 11:00 am you will head out for city tour and do sightseeing of historically and religiously important sites for around 2 - 3 hours. Finally, you will do necessary shopping for your trek. This would be an opportunity to shop for Yoga pant, shoes, jackets or trekking poles. Meal plan B.

On this day we will not practice yoga as we travel to Pokhara which is 200 kilometers west from Kathmandu. The bus ride would take around 7 hours with multiple breaks in between. Once we reach Pokhara we will rest our bags and we will take rest for around an hour. After being fresh we will head towards Phewa lake to see our yoga venue by the lake side which as well offers a beautiful views of mountains. Meal Plan B.

We wake up by 6 pm and head towards our yoga venue along with our trekking guide and yoga guru. Here we will practice yoga for over an hour and head back to our hotel room for breakfast. After breakfast we pack our bags and get going to our trek put in point. It takes one and half hours to reach Kande from where we embark on our tral and inside the forest. We will walk around 3 hours because we will not exhaust ourselves. Overnight in Deurali. Meal plan B,L, D.

If the day permits you will begin your day with the views of Annapurna south and Hiunchuli. You will embrace the moment and practice yoga for around an hour facing the snow clad mountains on the open turf surrounded by forest from all sides. After yoga we will grab our breakfast, rest for a while and embark on the trail for around 3 hours to forest camp. At forest camp we break for lunch. After resting for around an hour for lunch we further head up to Low camp. Low camp is another 3 hours walk to our destination of the day. Overnight in Low camp. Meal plan B, L, D.

Another day on the trail and closer to the mountains and more wide views. With Machhapuchhre, Lamjung himal in a stone throw distance we begin our day by practicing Yoga asanas. After yoga we have our breakfast and embark on the trail that we left behind a day prior. Since we would enter thin air on this day we would not walk over 3 hours to save energy and maintain better practice of climbing in the altitude. At high camp you will be welcomed by wide stretch of mountains in the Annapurna. Overnight in High Camp. Meal plan B,L,D.

After walking on the trail and practice yoga on the trail this is a much deserved rest day on one of the most serene spots on earth. We begin yoga session at our regular time of 7:00 am and in front of the widest stretch of mountains in the Annapurna. After around over an hour of yoga session we rest and recharge our energy. This is a technology free day and we will not indulge with our gadgets but practice meditating. Depending on the weather conditions the timing will be decided then and there. You will be taught different techniques of meditation throughout the day. We will break in between for rest and food. Overnight in High camp. Meal plan B, L, D.

Another day on the trail and not before we complete our yoga session and breakfast. This day we would reach the zenith of our trek and to an elevation 4500 meters and that is of Mardi himal base camp. Trekking to base camp in tricky as we would have to walk through ridge with drop on both side. If we cannot make it to the base camp we will enjoy the view from upper viewpoint at 4300 meters. After spending brief moment up there we head back to High Camp for Lunch and further down to Low camp. Overnight in Low camp. Meal plan B,L,D.

We begin our day with pranayama and yoga position at 7:00 am, followed by breakfast and rest for couple of hours. We leave around 11:00 - 12: pm towards siding village. We will be walking downhill, hence we will not stress our knees by walking over limit. 3 hours of downhill and we will reach our final destination of Siding. Overnight in Siding. Meal plan B, L, D

Siding is a beautiful and large village and in the opening of forest and an ideal location for practicing yoga. After yoga and breakfast we walk downhill to lumre for around 3 hours to Lumre and catch our vehicle to Pokhara. The ride to pokhara takes around 2 hours. Overnight in Pokhara. Meal plan B.

Its a rest day in Pokhara but only after our yoga practices. After an hour of yoga on the banks of Phewa lake and laps of himalayas and having breakfast it is your rest day. You can stroll around and explore Pokhara on your own. Overnight in Pokhara. Meal plan N/A

This is the final day of the Mardi himal Yoga trek. We board an early morning bus to Kathmandu. With frequent breaks in between we reach Kathmandu in around 6-7 hours of time frame.
