Popular place to visit - Thorung Phedi

Thorung Phedi is a flat and rocky meadowland at 4540 meters, surrounded by peaks. The landscape is very barren and the place is almost inhabitable in the winters. Except for few teahouses and the owners, travelers barely notice other human, animal or plant’s existence in Thorung Phedi. This place is basically is a launching pad for Thorung La pass.

The accommodation is basic but some of the teahouses offer bakery and electric heating as well. The view from Thorung Phedi is mesmerizing and in peak season hundreds or trekkers stop at this place on everyday basis.
