Poon hill at 3210 meters from the sea level is a melting pot of tourist. Over the years this place has been a hub to watch a stretch of mountains in the Annapurna region. Poon hill is nothing but just a grassy hill top, which has a view tower. The knoll has no facilities like food and accommodation which is why people do early morning hike from Ghorepani.

The undisturbed and spectacular panorama includes views of Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), and Tukuche (6920 m) to Nilgiri (6940 m). Other mountains include Annapurna south, Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m) and Tarke kang (7193 m).
