Panauti

by budget_trekking | Jul 17, 2018

Panauti is a sacred village that lies in the foot of hills surrounding Kathmandu valley, towards the south. This village lies in the confluence of Roshi Padmamati and the invisible river of Padmawati. The village is believed to have sacred power and unbelievably it seemed true when it escaped the 2015 earthquake.

Panauti was a part of ancient trade route and the merchants did business with the royal family. Now, it is a town lost in the town and a perfect non touristic escape.
