Nagarjun Hill

Nagarjun hill is the hill surrounding Kathmandu valley and is reachable by taking a bus that head to Trishuli bazaar from Balaju bypass. Nagarjun was once as well known as Rani ban, meaning the queens forest but now is a part of Shivapuri Nagarjuna national park. This is the only area in Kathmandu valley which is protected and houses pheasants, monkeys and few other species of birds and animals.

The highest point of this conservation area is around 2100 meters and that is of Shivapuri hill. This zenith is best known for the widest views of the mountains in the north.
