Ghandruk

Ghandruk is a very popular gurung town and a village development committee in the Kaski district of Nepal. This village is a popular stop while trekking Annapurna base camp or Poon hill trek. The houses and people in the village radiate their ancient culture with pride.

Ghandruk is the largest Gurung village and rests at around 1900 meters from the sea level. The village is clean, offers one of the best accommodation and services in the mountains and is popular for short trekking destination around Pokhara.

The village houses a Gurung cultural museum which preserves ancient tools, attire and way of life of Gurung people in Ghandruk. One a clear day you can get the best views of Annapurna South: Height – 7219m, Hiunchuli: Height – 6441m, Gangapurna: Height – 7455m, Annapurna Height – 7555m and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail): Height – 6993 m.
