Dole

Dole is a very small village that lies in the Khumbu region of Nepal, at an elevation of 4038 meters. It is a valley in Dudh Koshi river valley which is north of Khumjung and south of Machhermo. Furthermore, Dole is located in the mouth of Fule Khola in a densely forested valley. The village is basically a pastoral ground which is split into two by a small stream.

Dole is a popular rest area for people who are trekking to Everest base camp via Gokyo Lakes. People frequently stop here to acclimatize for further elevation. This village has fairly good tea houses compared to that of others in the region. The village offers wonderful views of Khumbila to the south and Taboche to the north.
