Dhulikhel

Dhulikhel is a small highway side and viewpoint centric town located in the district of Kavrepalanchowk. Araniko highway from China and BP highway from Bardibas connects eastern Nepal to Kathmandu and both highways meet at this very town. This town is facilitated with beautiful resorts and a university namely Kathmandu University.

Dhulikhel can be connected via Nagarkot and connects with Namobuddha. This used to be an ancient Newari village, now inhabited by mixed race of people. The old Dhulikhel can still be seen in the southern end where still reside Newari people who carry age old tradition and live in their ancient homes. These homes have beautifully carved windows and doors which reflects medieval age. It is as well a true fact that Dhulikhel has the best drinking water facility which was built in collaboration with Germany. Overall, it is a very beautiful and planned town from where snow capped mountains of stretched himalayan gamut can be observed on a clear morning.
