Chumling

Chumling rests at 2383 meters rest well protected by shades of pine forest. This is noticeably a large village and has a beautiful gompa towards the upper end of the village. Chumling is a true Tsum valley village that reflects Tibetan connection, culture and values. The land is more barren and the houses are more traditional by this point. The main source of income for people in Chumling is livestock husbandry, barley harvest and potatoes cultivation. Since it is cold in this region people drink a lot of Tibetan butter tea.
