Panch Pokhari Trek is one of the newly opened destinations and off the beaten treks in Nepal. This trek derives its name from the five ponds that lies in the Sindhupalchok district. These ponds are not ordinary ponds but significant as per Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Panch Pokhari ns direct English translation as well means 5 ponds. Furthermore, these beautiful freshwater ponds rest on the laps of Jugal himal. The trail leading to these ponds is rich in biodiversity, culture and natural beauty.

Panch Pokhari trek is one of the main features of Langtang national park. This trek is not rapid and climbs up to 4000 meters slowly. Hence, there are very faint chances of altitude sickness. Majority of the trail lies within the Langtang national park. The national park leaves you with opportunity to encounter with wildlife.

However, since Panch Pokhari Trek is an off the beaten trek. Although it is gaining its popularity, the trails of Panch Pokhari is under developed and is very basic. Meaning, there are no teahouses in plenty. Hence, packed lunch and tented accommodation is common on this trek. As a result, this short trek will give you the old experience of trekking in Nepal. This is the main reason for Panch Pokhari Trek being a wonderful camping trek. and an amazing wilderness experience.
