Tour Description
Discover the untouched beauty of the Langtang Valley Trek - a journey through raw, untouched beauty, where nature and culture come together in one of Nepal’s most serene trekking routes. Once bustling with trekkers, the region has now become an off-the-beaten-path adventure, perfect for those seeking peace, solitude, and authenticity. As you trek through ancient forests, home to the elusive red panda and rare Himalayan wildlife, you’ll pass picturesque Tamang villages, where the warm hospitality of the locals welcomes you. The Tamang people, descendants of Tibetan heritage, are unique in their culture, traditions, and way of life—distinct from the Sherpas of Everest and the indigenous groups of the Annapurna region.
The Langtang Valley is rebuilding, and along the way, you’ll see the resilience of the local people as they restore their homes, tea houses, monasteries, and chortens. Some tea houses have disappeared, meaning longer walks between accommodations, but the flowers still bloom, the rivers still flow, and the majestic mountains still stand proudly. And most importantly, the people of Langtang are eager to welcome you back.
On this trek, you’ll witness breathtaking mountain views, including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Manaslu, Annapurna, and even peaks in Tibet. The beauty of this region remains unchanged, offering trekkers an authentic and enriching Himalayan experience.

Once you checkout from this place, the terrain becomes quiet and the settlement is very sparse. You will see many people rebuilding and even if it is a small tea shop. The entire langtang valley was destroyed first by the earthquake and second by the glacier. The first teahouse with limited accommodation facilities was opened within a month and slowly people constructed few more. At the moment, the village has around a dozen of basic lodges. The facilities are basic but the will power is amazing. In between Lama hotel and Langtang village you will see beautiful snow clad mountains, whitewater streams gushing to lower plain and a lot of rubbles and debris. Few places have been opened up but at times you may not find any attendees in the hotel for food or accommodation. Furthermore, you will see many changed courses due to the huge rocks gliding down from the mountains. However, Kyanjin has opened up fine amount of accommodation. Few are concrete and many are small and family run and with only couple of them. In case of large amount of tourists, the accommodation would not suffice.
