How Govin and friends became one of Nepal's most chosen trekking guides in Nepal
At Vajra Adventure, we are passionate about creating memorable journeys that connect people with Nepal’s breathtaking nature, rich culture, and its connection to spirituality. Founded by Govinda Niraula, a devoted family man, young father, and mountain enthusiast, our mission is to create experiences that nourish the soul and inspire a deeper connection with nature and oneself.
Govin chose to remain in Nepal when many peers sought opportunities abroad, driven by his deep love for his homeland and a desire to make a difference. In 2012, he and five close friends launched “Budget Trekking”, which grew into a thriving enterprise that welcomed travellers from around the globe. This success led to the creation of “Dormitory Nepal Hostel” for budget-conscious adventurers and “Phailo Paila”, a social organisation giving back to the community.
This journey of building successful ventures not only shaped Govin’s expertise but also connected him with a wide network of talented individuals who share his passion for adventure, mindfulness, and community. Today, Vajra Adventure collaborates with an extraordinary team of independent guides, yoga instructors, and trekking experts—many of whom have become trusted friends over the years.
As part of our mission, Vajra Adventure is committed to empowering locals, particularly those from disadvantaged communities and Nepal’s caste system. We believe in creating equal opportunities and work closely with individuals who might otherwise face barriers in the tourism industry. This includes supporting female guides and yoga instructors, who not only lead treks but also introduce travellers to mindfulness and self-discovery through yoga and meditation.
We are also deeply dedicated to protecting the environment and preserving Nepal’s natural beauty for future generations. Our eco-friendly approach ensures that our tours and treks leave minimal impact on the environment. From promoting sustainable practices among our team and travellers to supporting local conservation efforts, we aim to respect and protect the pristine landscapes that make Nepal so extraordinary.
