Phakding is a small village in the Everest region which is located north of Lukla and south of Monjo. The village has just around 70-75 houses and mainly serves as the 1st stop of Everest trekking. The village is located at an altitude of 2610 and very close to the Dudh Koshi river and in Dudh koshi valley.
Phakding offers basic teahouse lodges for travellers. Whereas, when it comes to food, it offers different cuisines. On the other hand, there are several local pubs (bhattis) which serves local liquor.
