Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a top spot near Kathmandu valley for viewing the Himalayas in the north and the cloud formation below it. It is a hill station located at around 2195 meters. There are barely around 100 houses and you can enjoy the views of the mountains from the comfort of your hotel bed or couch.

There are several things one can do in Nagarkot, from viewing the mountains from the lookout tower to cycling in the nearby nature trail. There are several trail that avoids motorable road that leads to Nagarkot and all these trails make a perfect destination for either mountain biking trip or day hiking trips.
