Manaslu falls in the Mansiri himal range in Nepal which is a small sub range and is an eight thousand meter mountains. Manaslu is 8156 meters high and is one of the ultra 8000 meter mountains and it is known by different names like spirit mountain or the killer mountain. This mountain region lies 100 kilometers northwest of Kathmandu.

Manaslu is separated by Marsyangdi in the west with Annapurna and with Ganesh himal on the east by Budhi Gandaki.
