Dharmashala is basically a rest area that act as launching pad for Larke La, commonly known as Larke pass. This place has a teahouse which is insufficient in peak season which is why there are plenty of tents placed in the camp ground. The peak of Manaslu and the Larke pass can be easily viewed.
Dharmashala is an important rest area of Manaslu circuit trek and china trade. The reason this place is named as Dharmashala is for the reason that this word means a common shed. This place long served as a shed for porters and herders and now it serves similar purpose for travellers.
