Itinerary
On this day you arrive to Kathmandu and we transfer you to your accommodation. On this day you rest and rejuvenate of days to come. You can as well explore the surrounding and get to know a little about the country and culture.

You will meet your trek leader on this day and he would brief you about trekking to Everest base camp. The back office staff will prepare all required permits for your trekking and you will do the last minute shopping for your trekking along with your guide. While our back office staff get ready preparing permits from the government offices, our guides help you get acquainted with the country by taking you to the most happening market in Kathmandu.

We would start early in the morning by boarding a vehicle to Arughat. This bus or van ride would take around 7 to 8 hours. Half of the way is nice and black topped, whereas half of the road is bumpy and off road. Once we reach Arughat we would call it a day and get ready for Manaslu circuit trek. Overnight in Arughat.

The first day of the trek shouldn't be much tough on your legs and hence we would walk only for around 4-5 hours with a lot of breaks in between. The trail is gradient in the beginning but beyond Arkhet it gets steep. We would make our way through beautiful villages and rice terrains of indigenous gurung community. Keep your eyes open for plenty of monkeys in the forest in between Arkhet and Soti Khola. Overnight in Soti Khola.

Initially we climb through beautiful Sal forest and further on the face of a cliff and along the budhi Gandagi river. We pass several Gurung villages and amazing rice terrain. Keep your eyes open for beautiful display of indigenous culture. Overnight in Machha Khola.

We would embark on the same trail left behind on the previous day. We would walk on lush green hills and cross the budhi Gandaki river for several times before we reach our final destination. On our way we would as well meet Tatopani, natural hot water springs. This section of the trail however is very isolated and we would only see few scattered houses in most of the case. Overnight in Jagat.

On this day we leave behind the ACAP area behind and walk towards broader trail to Salleri towards the restricted area of Tsum. We cross a stream on simple wooden bridge and walk towards the first noticeable village of Phillim. Further down Phillim, across a forest and towards the narrowing valley is Chisopani. Overnight in Chisopani.

This is one of the most beautiful hikes in Tsum valley trek. Immediately after leaving Ekle Bhatti behind we make our way through a profound waterfall. After the waterfall we walk almost majority of our time through beautiful forest of pine and rhododendron. We would as well see Himalchuli and Buddha himal towards the halfway through the trek and Shingri himal from Chumling. Keep your eyes open for beautiful rhododendron blossom. We would visit Chumling gompa whilst our stay in Chumling.

We walk past few streams and cross them over the suspension bridges. Nothing on the way is captivating except the marvelous weather and bypassers. The village of Gho is interesting and so is Chokangparo which is 2 hours away from Gho. The view of Himalchuli and Ganesh himal is the best if the weather permits. Overnight in Chokangparo.

Be careful as the altitude kicks in beyond this point. You would see an amazing suspension bridge linking Lama Gaun and Rachen Gompa. Along way we see beautiful and well managed village. The nature is no doubt very beautiful but lookout for gompas made out of local resources. Overnight in Nile.

There is only one trail that climbs up to Mu Gompa. We are very close to Tibetan border on this day and we walk on Tibetan plateau extension in Nepal. Once we reach Mu Gompa we visit the monastery and the other monastery as well. Overnight in Mu Gompa.

Tsum valley is huge and located on high elevation and in all of this valley this gompa is located in the highest point of the valley. Mu is the largest of all the monasteries in the entire valley. Walking up to the monastery and exploring and getting back at the village is a whole day trip and worth doing. Overnight in Mu Gompa.

We trace our way back on the same trail that we took on our way up until Sihar Khola. The village is small and beautiful and close to Sihar Khola. Once we reach Burgi we rest our bags and climb up to Milarepa cave, a cave where Tibetan guru is believed to have meditated. You can as well see the footstep of the sage printed on a rock. Overnight in Burgi.

We embark on the same trail that we took upward. The trek in majority downhill and it would take around 6 - 7 hours to Chumling.

In between Chumling and Philim our trail branches towards Manaslu circuit. You will walk through a variety of terrain on this day, which is very captivating. Further down the trail we get out permits checked back to back at 2 points and enter a beautiful lush green forest. This is the very section of the trail from where we leave Tsum valley behind. Several ups and downs and crossing of Budhi Gandaki river we reach our final destination of the day. Overnight in Deng.

The trail is not very difficult until the very last moment of the trail. However, on this day you will see the transition in houses, culture and crops. The structure of homes are made out of rocks over the houses made out of mud and concrete in the lower area, the crops change from rice and wheat to potato and buckwheat and culture reflect to that of Tibet. You walk through a lot of prayer flags, mani (prayer wheels) and Kani (spiritual and religious gates). The final hour climb to Namrung is tiring. Overnight in Namrung.

The walk begins with easy uphill and not too difficult. We cross several short streams and small patches of villages of Barcham, lihi and Sho, but the most significant one is Lho. Manaslu dominates the view of entire Lho. You can as well take a short time to explore the village and observe the handmade religious architecture. It takes around 3 and half hours to Lho and from here our final destination is another 2 and half hours away. Overnight in Samagaun.

Taking a day off in Samagaun is a part of acclimatization. This beautiful village nestled on the laps of Manaslu himalaya has several places worth exploring. There are gompas, shrines and local infrastructures worth exploring. There is a natural hot water spring as well which is enjoyed by trekkers in the region. Overnight in Samagaun.

The trek begins easy and on the grassy grazing land often referred as Kharka. From here, in around 2 hours we reach the first village of Samdo; settlement of Tibetan fled refugees. This is an ideal place to relax a bit and see the surrounding. After catching our breath, we move on with our journey. Lookout for splendid view of Manaslu himal. In another 3 hours, looking on the north face of Manaslu and Larkya peak we make it to Dharmashala. Overnight in Dharmashala.

This is the longest and the toughest day in the entire Manaslu circuit trek. The day is going to be long so we would start before the first light. The hike in no doubt is tedious but on the top awaits the most beautiful of the himalayan grandeur. On the way down you will be greeted by beautiful views of Bimthang village and several turquoise colored lakes. The highest point of the trek as well is Larkya La pass. Overnight in Binthang.

We start strolling down Bimthang valley and towards the end of the valley we first cross a glacial melt, climb down a moraine and climb up a moraine. The west face of Manaslu is still still impressive. From this point there is a sudden change in the topography. We traverse through forest of Pine and Rhododendron. The descend is at first steep and then more gradient. Ovenight in Goa.

Today our trail would meet the Annapurna circuit trek and we would walk steep downhill on the deepest part of Marsyangdi gorge. Overnight in Chamje.

We would follow the trail adjacent to Marshyangdi river and walk through more warm weather. We would make our day through rice field and scattered houses all the way to Syange. Overnight in Syange.

We would board a vehicle on off road track to Besisahar. Once in Besisahar we immediately board a vehicle back to Kathmandu. Once we complete this 7 hour ride back to Kathmandu we would transfer you to your hotel/hostel and hence our Manaslu circuit trek would come to end.
